	Dew,
		I would set S51=5 (19200) or S51=4 (9600) with
	S66=1.  I would not run in autobaud with a getty on the
	SIO port.  Also, don't use a rotary on your getty.  This
	may be part of the problem.  I have not had much success
	getting a dial-in/out SIO port to work on a Sun3 with
	SunOS 4.0.3c.  A getty battle usually occurs which sets
	of the modem into a catatonic state or permissions/
	ownership of the port device changes, sending the system
	into a LCK state.  For the best performance, I am after
	trying this application with a KNOWN GOOD uugetty which
	will run in SunOS.  Good Luck!
