I had heard about some work going on at CMU dealing with GKS on the
X Window System.   In the reference someone mentioned "extension",
but I don't believe this really had to do with an "X extension"
as the MIT X Consortium defines the term.

I am interested in finding out more about this project, what it
entails, availability, etc.  A name/number/email address would be
greatly appreciated.

Also, I heard mention of a Canadian company working on something
similar (sorry, I don't know other details), and would appreciate
hearing more about this or any other GKS or CGI work being done on
top of X.

Due to high net traffic, I do not read this group regularly, and
would appreciate responses by email if possible.
