Building Constr. and Eng'ing, Melb., Australia Lines: 30 I am posting the following on behalf of a colleague who does not have access to the electronic news. Please reply directly to him via e-mail. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ''' We need to translate AutoCAD DXF format files to PCX in order to import successfully the graphics images into Superbase 4. I have been reading up and asking around on various possibilities and the most promising ones are: - HiJaak - a screen capture utility which has built-in capabilities for graphics conversions. - Generic CAD - CAD package that can import DXF and output PCX Do you know of any other utility programs that may be able to do what I have described? Also, do you know of anyone using any of the two packages stated above? I should appreciate some first-hand info before spending a few hundred dollars on a package. Hitherto, we have been scanning hard-copies of the drawings to TIF format and converting to PCX. This is very laborious and time-consuming. Translating the drawings seem to me the way to go. Please advise. Kang Ho ho@syd.dbce.csiro.au (Internet Address) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
