Sukumar,

Congratulations on the new JOURNAL OF ORGANIZATIONAL COMPUTING.  It fits
nicely into the interdisciplinary gap in the middle of the groupware field.
We look forward to the first issue.

Like Ittai, we would like to see more open discussion.  On one hand we
know from our own experience that there is a difficult balance between the
benefits and risks of sharing ideas before they are published, particularly
when they are not well-formed.  Some of the most interesting work is being
done very privately.

On the other hand, the field is so vitally important for our collective
future and the issues are so complex that we much prefer more open,
collaborative patterns.  We particularly like Doug Engelbart's bootstrap
approach.

It is in that spirit that we enter into the flow of discussion here.  If it
gets *hot* enough, others will join in.
