Subject: Amoeba Networking Support Under MINIX

     I'm working on a computer network project using the Amoeba Network
version of MINIX for the IBMPC family.  The current system supports only 
the Western Digital WD8003E ethernet board for the IBM PC family of computers.
Unfortunately, our computer systems all have a different ethernet board --
the 3COM 3C501 ethernet board, and I have been designated to solve the 
problem by modifying MINIX to support the 3C501 ethernet board.  I was 
wondering if anyone has already performed or attempted such a conversion, 
or has any words of wisdom to share before I embark on this journey.
Any words of encouragement and/or discouragement would be appreciated.
