One thing I have not seen mentioned is Compaq's DOS 3.31.  I use it
and it also allows partitions > 32meg.  I mention this only because
it has the smaller kernel of DOS 3.x with the one real advantage
of DOS 4.x, larger partitions.

With a "clean" configuration I get a TPA of 582K.
