I am using: C&T chipset, AMI BIOS 386/33 motherboard PERSTOR PS180-16FN HD/FD Controller TEAC 1.44 MB Floppy Drive (A:) TEAC 1.2 MB Floppy Drive (B:) ST251-1 HD The symptoms are: Half of the time it will start to boot, showing the IBM copyright, etc. Then bomb out on a line in the config.sys (usually COUNTRY.SYS, but I have also seen the DOSCALL1 DLL, the MSG DLL, and clock01.sys) The other half of the time, it will go anywhere from just past the copyright message to just after it asks me to insert installation disk #1 before it issuse a Trap error 000C followed by Trap error 000D. It states the 000C trap is a floppy device error (A:). Could this be the floppy controller on the Perstor? I don't think it is the drive, because it seems to work fine under MS-DOS 3.3 and Zenith MS-DOS 3.31. Is it the fact that I am try to run IBM's OS/2? Would CompuAdd OS/2 1.2 possibly solve the problem? I guess for now I'm going to have to stick to DOS/Windows 3.0 on this machine and save OS/2 for the (yech) CGA 286 2 MB laptop.
