I have seen this type of thing happen when telnetting to Suns from a machine whose IP address cannot be resolved into a name using a DNS lookup. Basically, if I am telnetting from 128.112.129.118, the machine I am telnetting into cannot get an answer when it tries to look up 118.129.112.128.in-addr.arpa in the domain name system. Might this be the problem you are having? /Chris ==========----------==========---------+---------==========----------========== UUCP: ...princeton!tengi VOICEnet: 609-258-6799 INTERNET: tengi@princeton.edu FAX: 609-258-3943 BITNET: TENGI@PUCC
