I just acquired a UNIX box (Plexus P/35). I am wondering what people would consider to be the essential programs that have to go on EVERY unix box 8-) I already intend to get GCC, G++, and some version of Common LISP. I would like to get nice shell look-alikes like tcsh. So, could a few people help me out, and give me some pointers as well as info on where to obtain stuff via anon ftp? This will probably start some religious war over what shell is best, etc 8-) Also, I would like to get a few things to expand my Plexus P/35 UNIX box. I would like to get an ethernet board for it (with software), and I would like to see if there are still any 020/030 upgrade boards available. All of these have to fit within tight budget constraints (ie, I'm a student). The machine is a Multi-Bus machine.
