Lines: 26 There is an active group doing coordinated work on all of these projects. We have a mailing list for discussions, and the necessary disk space to keep many versions of different ports online. Several ports of GCC (using different strategies) are available. A first version of a linker arrived some days ago. Some of this stuff needs complementing commercial software to be usable, but the goal is of course a totally free development environment. Everything can be FTPd from nic.funet.fi [128.214.6.100] in the directory tree ~pub/amiga/gcc-port/. There are several subdirectories. NOTE: This stuff is not in a form suitable for novice users. You probably need a couple of Megs of memory and several Megs of hard disk space to use anything at a If you want to join the working group (ie. you're a technical type who wants to contribute time testing the ports, or you want to do some of the porting work) send mail to amiga-gcc-port-request@nic.funet.fi, and you'll be added to the mailing list. Right now, we need people to test the ports. (There are likely other people who've worked alone on ports, and I can't speak for those. Only feel sorry for them :-). -- Leonard coordinator
