No.  Definitely not.  Serieal mice like the one you are talking about
are for MS-DOS machines.  You need a muosu like Apple's mouse //c, or
another mouse that specifically says it will work with the //c.  The
mouse Apple made was OK, but not as good as their new ADB mice (Apple
really did a good job there).
