You can buy an AppleTalk card for the IIe. Or I should say used to be able to.
Contact your local Apple dealer and I am sure they will be will to sell you
one for less than the IIgs upgrade (I didn't know they still offered that
one). BTW: be prepared to kiss their @#$. The darned thing cost us $240.00.
