Message-ID: <1990Oct19.034959.10519@cs.wayne.edu> Date: 19 Oct 90 03:49:59 GMT Sender: News@cs.wayne.edu Organization: Wayne State University Lines: 22 I picked up a copy of MT-C shell at the WAACE show, and I have decided to finally make the switch from Mark Williams C to an ansi compiler (GNU). I modified the GNU.G file and put the SETENV and ALIAS's into \etc\profile on my drive d:. However, I enter gcc hello.c or cc hello.c the drive light flickers, the RD and SD lights on my modem flicker, then I get the prompt back. Nothing's created! I've looked thru the MT-C shell manual and I'm about to loose my mind! Anybody using GNU-C with the Beckemeyer shell? Could you mail me your profile? Including environment info below: Atari 1040 ST (yes, I know GNU wants more RAM, the 2.5 meg ST is on it's way from CA) 30 meg seagate MT-C shell version 1.0 GNU-C 1.37 (or whaterver the latest from Terminator is as of last week) Thanks in advance -- Patrick B.
