It is up to the local service District Manager to decide if that is a good business decision -- i.e., we'll go and purchase a service contract from the 3rd party, and act as an intermediary (Given that it is legal and ethical, the only real question in solving a problem is "How much can you afford to spend?"). There is usually a stiff uplift for doing this, the accountants claim it takes a lot of money to handle and administer "pass through" charges. It will always be cheaper to go to the original vendor, but having a single point of contact, one contract to administer (it may cost your organization even more than it costs ours to handle multiple service contracts), may appeal to certain customers. At any rate, it might be possible, but the decision is made at the local level. Contact your local HP CE (Customer Engineer) District manager. ------------------ hpuorfa!bill Bill Chidester Systems Engineer HP Orlando (407) 826-9228 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- The above posting does not represent the opinion or position of Hewlett-Packard company.
