'untic hp > silvert' 2. edit the "lines#24" to whatever you like (I use 35). 3. have your admin perform a 'tic silvert' 4. edit your .profile or .login to set TERM=silvert 5. for vi specifically, you can also use the -w command option and the LINES and COLUMNS environment variables. 99. If you set COLUMNS higher than 80, don't use that window to post to netnews :-) It causes wrapping and/truncating on the 80 column windows used by 91.4% of the readership.
