Hi,
  I would like to hear what peoples experiences have been with Color
dot-matrix and ink-jet type printers.  Good, Bad, compatibility, how 
many software companies support them, how long do ribbons last, how many
colors to they print, price, etc., etc.

I have no experience with these printers.  I do have lots of experience 
with plotters and would love to hear from people that have used both.

I will summarize and post to this newsgroup in a couple of weeks if I get 
any response.
