Message-ID: <13545@sdcc6.ucsd.edu> Date: 24 Oct 90 21:12:37 GMT Sender: news@sdcc6.ucsd.edu Lines: 26 Nntp-Posting-Host: sdcc13.ucsd.edu I've outgrown my Mac SE and need to move up, but the Macs are too expensive for what I need. So, I've decided to switch to a IBM compatible. Here's what I need: 386 w/64k cache @ 25MHz Excellent video card and monitor and I can skimp on the hard and flopy drives, keyboard, etc. 30-40 Megs is fine, and I don't care about the speed. Can anyone recommend a system for me? I am in the San Diego area and can get an educational discount if one is available. I am not too familiar with IBMs, so please excuse any mistakes. Thanks, -Matt H. PS The monitor must be color, I believe that this is called VGA on IBMs, right? -- Matthew B.
