I do not currently know of a combination HD/FDD controller for an XT that has the expanded BIOS available to support a High Density Floppy. I know that DTK makes a floppy controller that will support 360 thru 1.44. Did Leading Edge make the controller? It is doubtful that you have a bad floppy. It is more likely that the controller does not support the drive. Just my opinion, I'm soo confused. The opinions expressed in no way, shape or form represent those of my company.
