My father mailed me a 3.5" DSDD floppy disk that he says was formatted to 116K and written by a Brother WP1 word processor. He would like to transfer the data from this disk (and about 40 others of the same kind) to a 286 clone running MS Windows. He contacted Brother (in Germany), but was told that they would not provide any assistance - not even for transfering the data to their very own successor model. Needless to say, he won't be buying any Brother products anytime soon :-(. So, my question is: Does anyone know how to do this, or know of some software that can do it? In the absence of this, does anyone have an email address or a phone number for Brother's Tech. Support (in the U.S.)? Any help would be appreciated! - Gerhard P.S. Please respond via email, as I don't normally read this newsgroup. -- -> Gerhard Mehldau Dept. of Computer Science internet: gerhard@cs.arizona.edu University of Arizona uucp: {cmcl2,noao,uunet}!arizona!gerhard Tucson, AZ 85721, U.S.A. voice: +1 (602) 621-4632
