Well, I have recently had an uncomplimentary experience with a Zeos machine.
It is an older 386, tower case, but it takes a 287 or a 387 with a special
socket.  Anyhow, as most all machines are these days, it is a turbo machine,
but I found that file integrity was no good in turbo mode.  This was
mostly cured by (low level? -- sorry about ambiguity, not my machine)
format of the HD.  Then, the HD itself, a Seagate 277R started going bad
with diagnostice reporting more and more bad sectors till finally
we were unable to boot from it and it had to be replaced and the
C: and D: partitions re-established (a short story in itself).

In the course of this latter ordeal, I tried to run CHECKIT on the 
machine and found that it crashed.  This is a symptom of imperfect
compatiblity, though the makers of CHECKIT recommend you calling them
on any machine that says "Standard" for its system bios maker and I 
did not do this.

Well, I guess I do not recommend Zeos.
Let me place a plug for Everex though as we recently got a Step 25, 386
and everything is great, no problems what so ever.
I guess it is hard to beat Zeos on price, but then again, paying
later on for a new HD uses the same money as maybe some interest payments
on a larger initial charge for a better machine?  Well, whatever.

(One more thing, there was some kind of mixup on the initial shipping
 so the machine went around twice -- I don't know whose fault it was, but
 care should be taken in the addresses I suppose.  I also don't know
 how much the added knocks in transit are responsible for the final
 condition of the machine.)
