I believe that the Cricket line was purchased by Computer Associates, a
humongous mostly-mainframe software firm that has been gobbling up
smaller software houses at a predigious rate lately.  That may be good
or bad for the Cricket stuff:  good--large firm with lots of resources
to upgrade/improve/support it;  bad--large firm with lots of resources
could care less about small potatoes Mac software and lets it languish.
