Well, two individuals have contacted me with the news (no pun
intended) that they will soon be making newsreader *applications*
available to the public.  Since they haven't set firm release dates
they've asked me not to release details yet, but I will post the
information when it is available.

And one person has informed me that he will be making source code
(in C) available which will result in a primitive newsreader.  The
code can be changed to allow for more features as the user desires.

(Why am I not releasing names?  I've been asked not to...)
