All I want is the _opportunity_ to upgrade my machine to current standards. I will pay a reasonable amount of money to do so. I don't expect Apple to take my SE/30 up to IIfx performance for free. One of the "exciting new features" of the SE/30 was that ROM SIMM, which was added in order to make ROM upgrades easier, according to both media reporting and Apple's own documentation.
