I've noticed that Apple's list price for the IIfx upgrade is about $3000, yet the university price is only $2500. Percentage-wise, it doesn't compare with other upgrades offered such as the SE/30. Also, the percentage discount of a new IIfx is about 10% less than the discounts for the other machines. Is this the pricing policy of my school or is it Apple's pricing policy to keep the IIfx at a higher price. And, why??? Right now, it's this price difference which is preventing me from upgrading to a IIfx. Please e-mail me, or post your response if you feel this topic is worth discussion over the network.
