Message-ID: Date: 20 Oct 90 20:40:42 GMT Sender: news@msuinfo.cl.msu.edu Organization: UW-Madison CS department Lines: 20 Here's the info I got from a local users' group. (1) The upgrade from HyperCard 1.2.x to 2.0 is free; you should be able to get it at your friendly dealer. This is just the program and stacks (5 disks); of course, documentation is extra (and from what I've seen of HC 2.0 it might be worth getting the whole package--they're charging $35 at the place I checked). (2) HyperCard 2.0 requires System 6.0.5 or later, but doesn't need 6.0.7. (3) HyperCard versions before 2.0 will not work reliably under System 6.0.7. (Sounds are known to cause problems; I don't know of any other things offhand.) It's probably worth taking the time to go get the upgrade. Hopefully, all of this is accurate; I'm mostly just repeating what I've been told.
