With the price of the NeXT laser printer down around $1200, I don't know why one would want to buy a used one. Is staying under $1000 that important? As to PostScript printers under a $1000 in general: The only alternative I think that you'll find is to purchase the HP II-P, or a cheap HP compatible like Epson EPL-6000, and buy a PostScript cartridge for it.
