Should i use 4.1? Is this a problem with 4.0.3 and the SLC? I've heard that one should use 4.1 with it. When I tried to boot off of a 4.0.3 tape, I got different errors- it coldn't copy from tape to disk the miniroot (even though the disk was set to scsi select 3 (for an SLC, the same as 0 for the Sun 3's)). Anyway, I was willing to believe a hardware problem until seeing this error when booting over the network. Also, when scanning for devices, it complains twice, "fd: unexpectedly busy - stat 0xff' and 'Unknown machine type 0x54 in NVRAM' then 'Machine type set to SUN4C_60'. Thanks. A summary on the 4/110 vs. SLC issue is forthcoming (I decided to get the SLC, obviously). - Avi
