Either help with "TeX Previewer" (described below) or directions to a completely different program would be appreciated. TeX Previewer problems: We've pulled a program called "TeX Previewer" (vintage 1986 from SARA in Amsterdam) out of the archives. It performs beautifully on the sample dvi file that comes with it. Unfortunately, there are problems getting any dvi file generated here to be displayed. First of all, the application only wants to open files with Macintosh file type "DVIF". Downloaded unix dvi files can be assigned this file type on the Mac, which allows TeX Previewer to open them, but nothing gets displayed. No documentation stored with the application in the archives says anything about how to use it; in particular, there's no mention of any filter that may need to be applied. Thanks in advance for any help. James Beard (beard@informatics.wustl.edu)
