There are none for Symbol-Oblique, Times-Roman-SmallCaps and Times-Roman-Oblique, since I was just able to get tfm files. Is there any way to get around this. I doubt if you want to be told this, but I think you could try starting from a fresh base. You are mixing some macros that were written with dvi2ps in mind together with a slightly idiosyncratic driver (no-one else has .pdr files). I personally find it more fun to use Rokicki's dvips (ftp from labrea.stanford.edu), which has examples of eg `times.sty' in the distribution. That way you know it all comes from the same stable. Investigating Mittelbach and Schoepf's font selection macros would be well worth while, but does require some investment of time to get used to their new way of declaring font families sebastian rahtz -- Sebastian Rahtz S.Rahtz@uk.ac.soton.ecs (JANET) Computer Science S.Rahtz@ecs.soton.ac.uk (Bitnet) Southampton S09 5NH, UK S.Rahtz@sot-ecs.uucp (uucp)
