Lumpkin) Organization: NAS Program, NASA Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, CA Lines: 30 I am new to A/UX and have a question that is probably very simple. I am interested in installing A/UX 2.0 on my Mac IIfx on a third party hard drive. The third party drive is a Maxtor 200Meg internal drive (SDI LXT-200S) which I bought from Alliance peripheral systems. The question I have is other than the A/UX 2.0 software what do I need to properly format/partition the drive. The software that came with my drive does not mention support for A/UX and a call to the tech support line confirms that the partitioning software does not support A/UX. I had heard that La Cie's SilverLining supports A/UX, but a call to their toll free order number discovered that SilverLining is presently being upgraded to support A/UX 2.0 and won't be ready for a few months. I am fairly knowledgable about the Mac OS as well as using Unix however I know little about UNIX system administration; so, please don't leave out too many mundane details on how to set up A/UX ( or any pointers to where this information can be found would be equally helpful. Thanx in advance, Forrest Lumpkin NASA Ames Research Center lumpkin@prandtl.nas.nasa.gov
