I am running a SVR3.2 system on a i386 platform My problem is this: Some times the system idle time is 0% I need better Performance from the terminal I/O subsystem . Is it possible to give the kernel a higher priority than the applications ? If I start the main applikations with the nice command will this give the kernel a better chance to do its job ?
