Message-ID: <1990Oct26.021304.12097@hayes.ims.alaska.edu> Date: 26 Oct 90 02:13:04 GMT Sender: usenet@hayes.ims.alaska.edu (J Random USENET) Reply-To: fnddr@acad3.fai.alaska.edu Organization: University of Alaska Fairbanks Lines: 17 News-Software: VAX/VMS VNEWS 1.3-4 Nntp-Posting-Host: acad3.fai.alaska.edu I've been installing NCAR graphics on a DS5000/Ultrix 4.0. While running through the test plots using the vt340 graphcap, the decterm froze...not during the graphic display, but while printing compiler messages. I found that "Clear Communications" (not "Reset Terminal") fixed it, with output picking up where it left off. But it froze up again sometime later, after viewing more plots. With a fresh decterm, I have no problems until I have viewed several plots. Since the decterm chokes some time after the graphics are done, and it doesn't seem to be very deterministic, I suspect the decterm rather than the plotting program. Has anyone else done a lot of graphics in the decterm window, vt340 style, and experienced (or failed to experience) such problems?
