Unless, they are able to be objective (which is hard in this situation) and see that the "problem" lies elsewhere. I cannot speak on Gails experience with the school I went to for my dog but I would agree with you that a "positive" attitude is a definite must because "things" can seem tough at times or not fun. Speaking based on my experience, I have a wonderful dog, the instructors were excellent and I must say that I feel I have had my feet thoroughly grounded in the basics and that I am armed with a good bag of tricks to deal with possible problems situations. On the other hand, I am sure that now and then, the "person to dog" match up doesn't work out. But you said it, attitude seems the key to it all. I know that is what I had to work at keeping, a good and positive attitude, even when seems didn't look so rosy! So far, Toby and I are doing wonderfully. Keepin' the faith! .
