I think this has been through here before, but I'll post it because it's
of general interest.  Sony is very good about selling detailed service
manuals for their products.  I just ordered manuals for stuff I have:
everything from my shortwave radio and multi-sync monitor to my sister's
boom box and my portable CD player.  These were nine bucks apiece and
they take credit cards.

They also have a customer service 800 number, but I'm not sure if
they'll sell you manuals or not.
