I have a question (that was probably beaten to death some time ago...) I need to convert a terminal's serial printer port for a parallel printer - ASAP. The terminal has a RS232 and the printer (Infoscribe 1000) has a centronics. I need a circuit that's as simple as possible. No need for fancy chips... the cheaper the better - and it does not have to fit in a match box ! ;-) An ASCII picture or a description with the general idea and what chips to use would be sensational! I'll keep what I get in case anyone else wants it Take care. (Please use e-mail, I'll post the final result) -- _______________________________________________________________________________ "The Force will be with you, always."
