Several suggested that I check out the units being sold at hardware stores for < $20, which I intend to do. I note also that in the current Circuit Cellar INK, they have a "sonar ranging experimenter's kit" for $79. They note that with a 5 v power supply it's TTL compatible, measuring from 1.2" to 35' (but they don't give an error range). Having never built any of these (or other Circuit Cellar kits), I wonder if anyone is familiar with them. How is the quality of the kit? How fast is shipping? The do promise that "you get a level of technical support unsurpassed in the industry." Please either respond directly or post here.
