Laser Communications Inc in Lancaster, PA (+1 717 394 8634) sells Infra Red Laser boxes that are supposed to be usable up to 1km in all sorts of weather conditions. As of about a year ago, they had a system that ran at 10 Mbps for US $14k. We havn't tried one yet, but I've communicated with a few people who have them and say they really do work, even in rain, fog, etc. -- Roy Smith, Public Health Research Institute 455 First Avenue, New York, NY 10016 roy@alanine.phri.nyu.edu -OR- {att,cmcl2,rutgers,hombre}!phri!roy "Arcane?
