I need to build a device similar to a remote garage door opener. I
want a small portable rf transmitter that sends a coded transmission
to a receiver which verifies the proper code and then turns on a
relay.

I thought I would use the same chip set as the Stanley garage door
opener but have found out they are custom chips made only for
anley.  Does anybody know of some other devices which I couldld use.
