Can someone please give me a pointer to a magazine article or plans or
advice on building an led (or other light) reader board. The display will
be for a trade show booth. I'd like to dump ASCII characters into a circuit
that drives a n X n character font pattern. The message should scroll across
the display. The display can be dumb, with the computer managing the timing
and repeating, ect.

Any ideas?
