I'd like to apologize for the tone of my last posting. I was having a
 bad day on too little sleep.  However, I do believe I am correct that
 halogenated carbons containing only fluorine are more harmful than 
those containing chlorine and fluorine or just chlorine. It's been 
a while since I did research on the subject, and what research I did 
was concerned only with the substitution of one refrigerant for another 
with minimal environmental damage AND minimum system modification. It's 
possible that the problem with fluorine that I am remembering was due 
to its carcenogenic effects, rather than its effects on the atmosphere,
in which case I will apologize for the error.  The engineering library 
is currently closed, but I will look up the statistics as soon as 
possible, and post either quotes and references, or a retraction. 
Bear with me, as this may take a day or two.I have a busy schedule.
