	There are hidden registers in the TELEBIT PEP modems which have
	now been documented by TELEBIT.  Call TELEBIT and ask for the
	TELEBIT PEP MODEM CONSIDERATIONS FOR ADVERSE COMMUNICATIONS LINKS
	document.  If you have difficulty getting this from TELEBIT,
