Since calls local to the premises typically don't leave the premises with a PBX system, a bug would have to placed on the premises. With a Centrex system, all calls are routed through the CO and so a bug can be conveniently placed at the CO. This bug would be able to monitor all calls including those internal to the premises. Given the cozy relationship between law enforcement and the telcos, this problem is something to think about. David
