Electrical Engineering, U of Manitoba Lines: 15 A few weeks ago when I was attending a conference, one of the participants told me about a new LPC called Johnson-LPC. A company, called Johnson (?), has developed it, the the people there claimed that it is comparable to CELP (the quality) with requirement (DSP power etc.) comparable to that of 2400 bps LPCs. I have tried to find the technical details of the LPC, but it seems like they are protected by intelectual property rights. Does anybody have any hints about its techniques ?
