I used to have some info on a APL-> C translator. The source
was a French company. Unfortunately I no longer have the
name, but I seem to remember that the same question was posed
some months ago by Dr. Richard Reid (reid@cpswh.cps.msu.edu)
I did pass the info about that french company along to him at 
that time. He may still have it. I suggest you try him.
