Thanks!  CCROOTDIR was indeed the problem with lex++/yacc++.

Has anyone been using dbx successfully?  As soon as I load a file, I get

	dbx: fatal error: I/O error

I have CCROOTDIR set.  I am explicitly invoking CC/sun4/dbx.
