I am trying to understand the Eiffel interface to X windows - and failing 
miserably. I do not understand how the X-window events are propagated to the
Eiffel system. Does the X-window system at some stage cause the event handlers 
defined in a class, say button, to be executed directly, or does some sort of
daemon connect the two?

I would be very grateful for any help or references that could be provided.
