Mazarick) Newsgroups: misc.forsale.computers,comp.lsi Subject: Valid S320 and/or ScaldStar forsale Keywords: CAD, vlsi Message-ID: <2681@speedy.mcnc.org> Date: 1 Nov 90 21:41:17 GMT Organization: MCNC; RTP, NC Lines: 30 I have several Valid ECAD workstations, some of which I would be willing to part with (so I can stay married). I have a variety of mono and color hi res monitors. For those not familiar with the Valid, it is basically a Unix 4.2 68020 box that was designed to run Electronic Cad software; ie. schematic capture, simulation, packaging (U numbers), etc. The ScaldStar was designed for VLSI mask design; it has two monitors, one mono for schematics and a color for mask layout. Most Asic vendors support the Valid, along with Mentor and Daisy. The hardware is as follows: 68020 16 mHz processor 4 megs of memory Cipher 1/2" tape drive 1600 BPI 2 - 4 70 meg Priam disk drives (depends on what you want to pay) Monitors - 19" hi rez mono or color Let me know if you're interested; I'm flexible on price. You can contact me at (919)787-2935 after 5:00 EST or email me at mazarick@mcnc.org PS: For the really cheep, I have a few Valid ScaldIVs also, these are "AT" class unix boxes with a mono monitor; based on the 68010 and a 20 meg hard drive.
