Subject: Choice of printer for my Netwrk.

We have a network of IBM PS/2s ( model 80s ) running 3COM network h/w
and software. I also have a Mac II on the Net. Currently there is an
Apple L/W II NTX connected to serial port of the server as a network
printer. We are looking for another printer on the network. I heard
about converting HP LJ series III into a postscript printer with
a font cartridge and 3MB memory upgrade on the printer. Price wise
this sounds to be great option rather than going in for another APPLE
L/W II NTX ( $ 4,000 ) or L/W II NT ( 3,000 ). does any one know
about performance of HP with postscript. Especially because of the Network
I am more concerned about the performance. Also, could one use HP with
postscript as a regular HP printer too or there are any settings to be changed
thro' h/w, s/w?
I would appreciate some response.
