This improperly equates QA with Testing. Testing is only a subset of the functions that QA should perform. QA should be as concerned with *preventing* defects as with finding them. QA should be involved with the entire SDLC process, not just testing the final product. QA should be involved with improving the entire process, e.g. setting standards, conducting in-progress reviews, performing post-mortems, etc. Jeffrey M.
