Yes, you can. I just bought myself an HP Inkjet and have had pretty good
results with it. There are two types of printers you can hookup, the serial and
parallel port types. Mine is the rarer serial port one.
The only problem is that my serial port is also used for my modem and a midi
interface, so without passthroughs on the devices, you have to shutdown the
computer when you want to use a different device. Maybe my next purchase will
be a switchbox.
